Purchasing Consultant (80-100%)

We are looking for an experienced professional to strengthen our Supply Chain department. In this key role, you will drive procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and support product development and promotions across our restaurant network. You will help optimize our supply chain, contribute to innovation, and ensure a competitive and diverse product offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate and purchase a broad range of food and non-food items for all restaurants in Switzerland, with a strong focus on protein-based products.


• Maintain daily relationships with Swiss and European suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, competitive pricing, and secure sourcing of key protein categories.


• Monitor supplier performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous supply chain optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.


• Work closely with Marketing and Operations to develop and refine new products, bringing insights on food trends, especially in the protein and alternative‑protein segments.


• Contribute to national promotions by supporting product launches, monitoring performance, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.


• Track product results throughout their lifecycle and support decisions on continuation or withdrawal.


• Stay informed about market trends and evolving customer expectations, acting as a proactive source of ideas to modernize and energize the restaurant assortment.

What You Need to Be Successful

 

• Proven experience (min. 5 years) in procurement and ideally in the food sector


• Swiss professional qualification in procurement (such as a federal purchasing diploma) or any equivalent degree in a related business field.


• Autonomous, flexible, and comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders such as suppliers, logistics partners, and restaurant teams.


• Communicative and proactive, with the ability to take initiative, propose ideas, and remain resilient under pressure.


• Strong proficiency in English, German and French as an asset

We are looking for an experienced professional to strengthen our Development department. In this key role, you will contribute to the strategic and operational management of our real estate portfolio in French‑speaking Switzerland. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners in a dynamic, business‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the real estate strategy and actively contribute to its further development.


• Manage and develop the existing real estate portfolio across Switzerland.


• Oversee all administrative, operational, and contractual processes related to the properties.


• Serve as the main point of contact for property owners, management companies, authorities, and external partners.


• Manage the full lifecycle of leases and land‑use rights, including durations, renewals, rent adjustments, and negotiations.


• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize real estate‑related contracts.

We are looking for an experienced professional to strengthen our Development department. As Manager Asset Management & Real Estate, you take on a senior, strategic role at the heart of McDonald’s real estate expansion in Switzerland. You are responsible for driving the nationwide real estate strategy, securing the long‑term growth of our restaurant portfolio, and optimizing our existing assets. Through your expertise, network, and leadership, you play a key role in shaping McDonald’s presence on the Swiss market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Asset Management and Real Estate Expansion across Switzerland, managing and developing a team of four team members.


• Develop and implement the real estate strategy, identify new sites, and maintain a solid and well‑structured project pipeline.


• Assess the suitability of land and properties, prepare revenue estimates, and ensure project profitability (ROI).


• Optimize the existing portfolio and lead negotiations related to new sites, renewals, relocations, or lease terminations.


• Negotiate, draft, and finalize contracts and official documents with partners and authorities.


• Prepare reports, market analyses, and present projects to the DMT Board for validation.


• Represent McDonald’s with external partners and maintain a strong network to support expansion activities.

What You Need to Be Successful

 

• University or university of applied sciences degree in Real Estate or an equivalent qualification.


• Several years of successful experience in Real Estate expansion, site development, and/or Asset Management; retail experience is a strong asset.


• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, structure, and develop a team.


• Strong knowledge of the Swiss real estate market and an established network, ideally within German-speaking Switzerland.


• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven ability to manage high-stake contractual discussions.

Domaine d'activité

Au cours de tes trois années de formation pour devenir spécialiste en restauration de système, tu apprendras non seulement comment préparer et présenter les produits, mais également les systèmes de gestion de l'entreprise. Outre la connaissance des denrées alimentaires, le contrôle de la qualité, la fabrication des produits et la vente, ta formation abordera le marketing, les ressources humaines, les contrôle des coûts et l'organisation des processus. Avec un objectif clair: entrer pas à pas dans le management du restaurant.

Notre objectif pour toi: après ta formation, tu auras les moyens de faire partie de l’équipe de gestion du restaurant. La fin de ton apprentissage avec obtention du CFC est la première étape de ton développement chez McDonald’s. Tu auras la possibilité de continuer à te former aussi bien à l’interne qu’à l’externe. Ta carrière au sein de nos restaurants pourra t’amener jusqu’au niveau d’un gérant. Et de nombreuses possibilités de développement sont également possibles dans le domaine de la gastronomie en Suisse.

Domaine d'activité

En tant qu’apprenti·e en restauration de système CFC, une formation approfondie, structurée et très variée t’attend au sein de notre restaurant McDonald’s de notre franchise. Tu découvriras progressivement tous les aspects essentiels du métier, aussi bien sur le terrain qu’au niveau de l’organisation. Durant ton apprentissage, tu apprendras à travailler en cuisine et au service, en respectant les standards de qualité, d’hygiène et de sécurité alimentaire.

Tu développeras également des compétences en organisation du travail, en gestion des processus, ainsi qu’en contrôle des coûts. Avec le temps, tu seras aussi sensibilisé·e à la gestion et à l’encadrement d’équipe, un élément clé de la restauration de système. Ta formation pratique en restaurant est complétée par la formation théorique à l’école professionnelle, où tu acquerras les bases nécessaires. Les cours interentreprises viennent renforcer et consolider tes connaissances pratiques et théoriques, afin de t’offrir une formation complète et reconnue.
